Stop planning trips around Electrify America.
J.D. Power reports 1 in 5 public DC fast-charge attempts end in failure. Every detour to a working stall is time, miles, and trust you’ve already paid for.
$139.99 puts your BMW on Tesla’s network instead.
14 YEARS AT GOOGLE. A FIRE HELMET. ONE BENCHMARK FOR WHAT CHARGES YOUR BMW.
“I’ve worked fire calls where a $40 extension cord burned a house down. A DC fast charger moves more current in one second than a whole house service pulls in an hour. I built Velectr the way I’d spec equipment for my own engine company — dual thermal sensors, CSA certification, and a hard stop at 500A.”
— Symon Hallam / CEO, Velectr & Fire Lieutenant

500A / 1000V
Rated for more power than any BMW EV can pull. The i5 M60 tops BMW’s lineup at 207kW peak; most other models sit between 195–205kW. This adapter is built for well over double that — the margin of safety a first responder designs for.
PLUG & CHARGE
No app fumbling, no QR codes, no Shell Recharge account setup. Once your BMW is registered with Tesla, power flows the moment you connect.
HARD SHELL CASE INCLUDED
Sized for the iX or i5 frunk, or the i4’s trunk well. Weatherproof. Always ready.
Less than one tow to the nearest working CCS charger. Less than 0.2% of what you paid for the car.

Just tried for the first time today and it worked flawlessly. Adapter feels very solid and love that it came with a case. Was super easy and quick to use.

A bit difficult to put on but sturdy
It feels pretty sturdy to me overall and the case is nice and hefty. I’m glad I have this as an option, rather than being locked into a specific couple of stations near me that can get absolutely packed.

Fantastic product, better customer service.
This product is FANTASTIC… Great customer service too. I foolishly dropped it and cracked it, and the customer service team took solid care of me.

All four adapters push the same power. The difference is price, who built it, and whether you want a firefighter or an Amazon-shelf accessory brand holding 500A between your BMW and a Supercharger.

Yes for the full current US BMW EV lineup: i4 (M50, eDrive35, eDrive40, xDrive40), i5 (M60, xDrive40, eDrive40), i7 (eDrive50, xDrive60, M70), and iX (xDrive50, M60). The adapter is physically and electrically compatible with every BMW CCS1 charge port.
Two caveats worth knowing: (1) 2026 iX and 2026 i5 xDrive40/eDrive40 models require a BMW Remote Software Upgrade (rolling out spring 2026) before Supercharger access activates. (2) The BMW i3 (2014–2021) was excluded from the Supercharger rollout entirely by BMW and cannot access the network with any adapter.

Yes. The Velectr CCS1 adapter is CSA Certified (US + Canada), FCC Certified, and is built to the UL 2252 standard (certification in progress). It is rated for 500A at 1000V — double what any current BMW EV can draw at peak. Every unit has dual thermal sensors that cut power if the adapter gets too hot, and passes individual quality testing before it ships. This is the same standard of hardware a Fire Lieutenant would trust in his own vehicle.
The adapter itself works with any CCS1-equipped BMW iX. The caveat is BMW-side: iX units produced before March 2023 lack the Plug & Charge chip, so you’ll authenticate through the Tesla app rather than tap-free. Charging still works — you just start the session from your phone. Forum-reported charging speeds at V3 stations on pre-March 2023 iX units are unchanged.
A 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects — electronics, connectors, housing, thermal sensors. If the unit fails under normal use inside the warranty window, email us and we’ll replace it. It covers the adapter itself, not damage caused by misuse or third-party charging equipment. Two years is longer than most aftermarket adapters on Amazon offer, and we stand behind the hardware because it’s CSA Certified, FCC Certified, and built to the UL 2252 standard.
30-day money back, no questions asked. If it doesn’t work for any reason, email our support team and we’ll process a full refund. You’re also covered by our 2-year limited warranty against any manufacturing defects.
Only at Tesla V3 and V4 Supercharger stalls (the ones supporting non-Tesla vehicles). Older V2 Superchargers are Tesla-only and cannot charge your BMW. The Tesla app and BMW’s navigation filter out incompatible stations for you. Once your BMW is linked with your Tesla account, Plug & Charge works tap-free at any compatible stall.
Exactly as fast as your BMW’s onboard charging hardware allows. The adapter is passive — it doesn’t limit current. Published BMW DC peak rates sit in the 195–207kW range across the i4, i5, i7, and iX lineup, with the i5 M60 at the top. Charge curve falls off above 60–70% state of charge — same as any DC fast charger. Actual speeds depend on battery temperature, state of charge, and station conditions.
